Dr. Surjit Baruah then passed M.D. (Medicine) in 2007 from Guwahati Medical College, Guwahati.

He was Resident in Neurolab, GNRC, Guwahati.

He did advanced Certificate in course in Diabetology in 2011 conducted by Cleve Clinic, Ohio, USA & now doing private practice in North Lakhimpur, Assam
